My mom and I went to visit Elroy today. He seems OK, just a bit out of it. They are giving him fluids and waiting to get results back from an ultrasound. Currently, they suspect that his prostate is enlarged and therefore caused a blockage that caused kidney failure and possibly a kidney infection. We will know more soon hopefully.
Elroy is very restless and anxious to go home, but is also seems lethargic and not his normal feisty self. He's bored for sure and doesn't like being trapped there! We had a good chuckle when we were talking to the nurse. We were asking to be a part of any discharge planning and the nurse said, "Oh, but Mr. Chun tells us that there is already care in place at his home" - and my mom and I said, "Um, yeah, BUT NOT FOR HIM!" That rascal is trying everything to get an early discharge! Ha!
